Who's In the Driver's Seat? - Part I

I'd like to talk to you today about the DIRECTION your life is DRIVEN, vs. the DIRECTION your life is DESTINED!

I woke up this morning with the vision of "KEYS" dangling over me. My first thought, Oh Hallelujah, I'm about to get blessed with a car. Well that thought dissolved quickly when I heard the Lord speak to me about OUR POSSESSIONS and how much value we place on them.

He reminded me of how excited I was when I PURCHASED my first home, and my first BRAND NEW car. How well I remember the pride and sense of accomplishment I felt, especially at such a young age.

As I reminisced, the Lord asked me how much VALUE I placed in my possessions. So I thought about it, and in fact had to admit, I HIGHLY Valued my stuff. I worked hard for the things I'd achieved, and wanted to take extreme care of my "valuables". He asked, "Would you trust just anyone with the KEYS to your home or your car. My answer "Heckie No"

From past experience, I KNOW He's going somewhere with this, so I continued to listen as He said: Think about the emphasis, care, concern and even LOVE you had for your material possessions. I did that. Then He said, Now compare that to the emphasis, care, concern and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE I have for you, because YOU belong to me.

After I thought about it for a few moments, I began wiping the tears from my eyes. I recalled a former time in my life, where I've cared more for things I PURCHASED, than I cared for myself.

I shared with my group Connect2Success I initially thought this message was for my other group Sis (Sisters In Singleness) International. I was assured this message was for EVERYONE, especially embarking on not only a NEW YEAR, but a NEW DECADE.

This is a very pivotal time in history. And I want ALL who read this blog to be PREPARED for the SHIFT that's about to take place. So I'm going to ask you to ask yourself:





1. Who's in the Driver's Seat of YOUR Life?
2. Which KEYS have you RELINQUISHED CONTROL, and to WHOM?
3. Are you DRIVING your own Direction?
4. Are you allowing God to LEAD and GUIDE you to YOUR DESTINY?

Now there may be "politically" and "religiously" correct answers to most of these questions... but I need you to move BEYOND the surface and the superficial and conduct an exhaustive self-examination. I need you to LOOK DEEP!

I’ll be back tomorrow to conclude the revelations I uncovered, in the meantime, Ask yourself the questions in private and be brutally HONEST with yourself. These questions are for YOUR Elevation, and not to prove anything to anyone.

Where Are The Men? - by Calvin Mann

I'm REALLY trying to be more faithful to my blog, but with so much going on, and only so many hours in a day, its difficult! So today I'm cheating, just a little. Not cheating in the sense of providing you with something valuable to consider, but cheating as in not sharing thoughts of my own. I have however, asked on MANY OCCASIONS....Where Are The Men?

When I saw this note posted by my friend Calvin Mann, it was SO CLOSE to my morning status, I just had to share it with you.

Calvin Mann is the founder of Encourage Me I'm Young - EMIY a non-profit, for-youth enrichment organization that equips and enhances today's youth with guidance, encouragement, and relative and achievable goals. Character development, empowerment, and literacy proficiency is emphasized through mentorship. The intention of EMIY is to embrace and uplift one another by enlisting society to focus on potential instead of aptitude. The assistance to resistance approach will endow and propel our youth, allowing them to become compassionate, intelligent, and logical decision makers. He writes:

What has this world come to? And how will it be shown in our History? Well I was thinking on this very thing as I've been doing so much struggling myself. It's not that I'm complaining but wanting to notice "Where Are The Men?"

So I prayed and began to see throughout the world, that men are fading fast and we sit by and just let it happen. Men, we are more than you know and we must endure more than you have been taught. So many of us have excuses but so many of us don't.

Let's take a look at some very poor stats that effect the family today. 70% of families are in the hands of women and I don't care what you say, it is by design that this exists, yet we've done nothing about it.

Black & Hispanic families have an 80% prison rate for men, and looking at the law system, you don't even commit the most crimes, BUT you have a drop out rate to match those numbers, so Education and Ignorance seem to be going the same way. Some cities BOAST a 19% graduation rate, and most of the teachers are women, Not men.

WHERE ARE THE MEN?

Men did you know reading levels for young men are horrible? Some nationalities report not being able to read past a third grade level!

We seem to allow this system we live in to dictate what we will become, and if that's true, we are in deep trouble as you can see.

I have to point out, for over 200 or more years we have been referred to by a lot of negative terms by women, men, preachers, teachers, and OURSELVES!

I am not a dog, bum, nigga, or nigger, porch monkey, coon, neg, player, playa, pimp, the man, Hoe, whore, fag, sissy, gay, soldier, soft, punk, gangsta!

I AM A GODLY FATHER!

Now that the negative stuff is out of the way here are a few things we can do and I mean that. "Time is all we have to Change what we are"

We have been given three gifts men, and each one of them must be used to help better our future.

1. Every man has a gift find out what it is and use it for the GOOD, not for GREED

2. Fatherhood is not just for your house but it's for your community, notice how when a father is in the house the community looks better when he's not, well you already know.

3. And the most important - Your Spiritual Well Being.

God has put a lot on us and most of have failed in this department. Men, we must endure and that means it's not about you but about your tree, your legacy. We must begin to move away from self, and love what God has done to us and Legacy build. Our Young Men need us so bad and we are not there. We are leaving our kids in the hands of women and while they have them there is no positive stat that goes with that, but when Men are in the lives of the children it shows all the positives and for you non believers I'm not mad at you but, That's GOD.

Men are at war for greed! Fathers being shot while begging for his life at a gas station, three boys missing and the dad knows where, 2 boys killing any young teen, a Soldier being stabbed, and Domestic violence through the roof. We can NOT continue on this path of destruction.

"NEG" = Not enough God. So please Men, women, and children let us begin to pray more for the Good things and not wait until its so bad to give God the glory, because no matter what you think, Men Must Endure for our world to have Order.

Take My Debt .... PLEASE! Legally Restore Your Credit Score

As many of you know on Dec. 7th I held a Conference Call w/ John Rodriguez Sr., and Sarah Young of Debt Defense Education Services. Once I was introduced to John and the services his company provides, I felt it necessary to share it with as many people who could potentially use this as possible.

My personal story of struggling with inaccurate and erroneous information that I've tried to get removed from my credit report, prompted me to believe other people could benefit from this information as well.

I spent several days researching the credit repair companies, and once I realized that it was based solely on profit and not actual debt, I was enraged. You see the Banks and Credit Companies insure their Credit Cards, and once you're delinquent for 90 - 120 days they contact the insurance company and report the account as a Non-performing asset. I NEVER KNEW THAT!

I wasn't quite prepared for the number of inquiries that flooded my inbox on facebook regarding the conference call once it was concluded, but it only confirms that there are MANY, MANY, people hurting because of their credit situation.

Third Party Debt Collectors, and other credit "repair" companies will not like the information shared on this call, but they've gotten over for FAR TO LONG!

The Sound quality of the call is not the best, but below you can take a listen. I'm considering having a call bi-weekly on Tuesdays, but that's yet to be determined.


Depending on your situation, you may be able to see an improvement in your credit position before the New Year. This process is the best I've come across and there are NO MONTHLY FEES.
